Hunger and Hunger XL are part of The Magazine Collection. This is a body of works knowingly named after fashion magazines that SYRETT reads. This limited edition print is a high quality Giclee print using archival inks on 310gsm Portrait Velvet stock paper. It’s a special limited edition of 5 prints (measuring at 100 x 100 cm) or 100 prints (measuring at 60cm x 60cm). Signed and numbered in pencil.
SYRETT is an artist with a background in fashion. From working in the TV, film, music and advertising industry to artist management he is, in his own right, an accomplished artist.
Each print is created by pouring, dripping and then moving True Brit London nail varnish on a perspex sheet. Each original piece is no bigger than 10cm in size, these are then photographed and during the printing process are enlarged to this current size. The small originals are then destroyed as SYRETT believes that by doing so the prints then become the original art.
SYRETT never produces prints of his large original pieces, they are exclusively original.
