Goldfield and Banks, Silky Woods perfume fuses smells from the Orient and the Australian Daintree Rainforest. I was particularly excited to work with this brand as I share their Antipodean heritage.
Grazie depicts a faceless woman in her usual street pop art style, inspired by traditional oriental images of women. I have chosen to paint this image on gold card reminiscent of the iconic gold perfume bottle designed by Goldfields and Banks. You can see the reflections in the background of imagery of the rainforest throughout the painting highlighting Australia’s unique flowers and plants. My modern painting style compliments this sassy, contemporary smelling perfume.
Encased in molten gold and infused with precious agarwood, Silky Woods is the aptly named debut fragrance in a new luxury collection called the Botanical Series by Goldfield & Banks. Showcasing the precious wood species harvested sustainably in the Daintree Rainforest in Tropical Queensland, Silky Woods is a delightful and delicate yet very sensual blend that captures Australia’s sensorial experience. To a modern oriental sillage of suede, exotic vanilla and smoky tobacco leaves, Goldfield & Banks has added refined essences of saffron, incense, ylang ylang and native sandalwood.
