How I was influenced by the perfume
I was so excited to be asked to collaborate by The House of Oud and create art in response to their new fragrance, ‘Neverending’.
The second I opened the bottle, the heady and intoxicating scent sparked my imagination and transported me to an enchanted
and infinite paradise where all senses become heightened and alive.
The scents of woody, citrus combined with fragrant, intoxicating jasmine and tuberose, fill the day and night air.
The sound of water gently cascading, calms the mind and beautiful birdsong is music to your ears.
Vibrant butterflies dance in the gentle breeze with a sense of lightness and joy and represent the
“Neverending” cycle of life and transformation.
The perfume inspired me to create a painting representing a sensory paradise, a place to be present and still, listening,
absorbing and in the moment.

Douglas morel, creator of the perfume says that his starting point for the scent was “From Earth to sky” and to the moon.
This inspired the diptych which goes from dawn to dusk. Up to the moon and beyond, to an infinite and
magical universe where a well of creativity and joy flows abundantly and is ‘Neverending’
Never Ending by House of Oud, the new fragrance from THoO, is a bewitching and magnetic blend of pink grapefruit, nutmeg and warm spices with a heart of tuberose, jasmine and a provocative suede accord. An touch of black vanilla and amber warm the base. Inspired by the operatic genius of Guido Locosolo and Nino Machaidze the fragrance was created by brilliant young perfumer Douglas Morel.
